Probably the most simple way is to dynamically write desired commands/text to a text file then call JobRun to invoke another job that executes that file using @SCRIPT: tag. This way you can build some sort of dynamic JAL script for error handling. Also check out JobCreate and JobModify statements as they also can be used to create/modify jobs dynamicaly. : Does anyone know if there's a graceful way to "exit" a job within : JAL and have 24x7 recognize it as an error? I want to have an operator : who's looking at the HTML reports to be able to see a job failure. : I can workaround this by putting in some bogus command in the error handling : portion of the code, but then the error is not indicative of what really : happened. : Derek
