Post Determing if a .ksh failed Reply with quote
How can I tell if a ksh fails?

I have a text.ksh

cd /JDAapps/DM/dm_scripts
./test.ksh

It contains:
echo “Sample Test”
exit 102

When I run it the notification just email started and finished. I have also checked job error.

The person that created the script said that his scripts will return 0 or 512 on success.
I should be able to get a notification of failed if I get anything other then 0 or 512. In my test case it should show failed for the 102.

Thanks!!

Simple set the job to check for specific exit code or rule. By default any exit code is ok.

Hmm... I'm sorry I don't get it. This seems absolutely obvious to me.

Step 1: select job type
Step 2: select program or batch file name or document name like .mdb file
Step 3: enter exit code
Step 4: Select queue, etc...
and so on...

Am I missing something?
