FTP Timeout Code Question |
|
In an important nightly process, we issue the following command:
FTPPutFile( "servername", "user", "pass" , inv_ftp, inv_path )
About once a month, we get a timeout waiting for password prompt from the server:
An error occurred while executing automation script: Line 197: Logon failed or host not found. Additional information: Connection timeout occurred while waiting for Password prompt.
How can I retry the ftpputfile command if I receive this error and continue with the rest of the script?
Beth

The simplest method is to use job retry properties to make the scheduler retry the job several times. You can specify number of tries and long to wait between tries. You can also use programmatic error handling, see OnErrorXXXX JAL statements and examples in the on-line help
