24x7 V3.6.10 Semaphore Files Question

I have setup a job dependency between two jobs and I want the parent job to create the semaphore file in a specific folder not the 24X7 install folder. Not sure how to point 24x7 to a different directory for saving the semaphore files. I have tried hard coding it into the screen where you input the name of the semaphore file and when I do that 24x7 fails to create the file and give me the message in the log: Unable to create semaphore file "D:\24x7 Automation 3\TriggerFiles\semaphore1.txt". Any ideas on how to point the creation of semaphore files for jobs to unique folders?

You can do it in 2 steps. Step 1, open parent job properties, navigate to Notifications Actions step for semaphore files, and change the file name as needed, including full path. Step 2, open child job, navigate to Schedule step for files, and change the file watch properties to point to the file you want.

I tried what you described in your response and I keep getting the message in the 24x7 log that "Unable to create semphore file "D:\TriggerFiles\semaphore1". What permissions need to be set on the folder so 24x7 can write to the folder?

Please verify the path is correct, also try adding file extension
