Post How to Send a string to a specific window name Reply with quote
I am automating a report generated by an Excel macro. It runs fine until the macro tries to send the workbook to an e-mail address. Outlook pops a window up asking for the password.

What I need is a way to watch for the Window labeled "Enter Password", send the password as a string, and then the <Enter>" key.

Seems simple but I can't find an example in the forums that I can understand so the more detail the better. I have never used JAL but, if it is required for my solution, can figure it out with some help.

Thanks!

If you are using JAL for that purpose, you can use WindowFind and then SendKeys to automate the password entry.

But generally speaking this is a bad idea. You should use SMTP interface and bypass Outlook completely.
