I am unclear as when this error occurs. When you connect to the scheduler or when the job starts? If you cannot connect, how then do you start the job?

Well Like you can see the logs, this happens after a job say for eg I want to open notepad, finishes. So once the job finishes (i.e. notepad opens) then I am trying to display the HTML log file on the webpage.
Then it fails to show me the HTML log page {response.sendRedirect( "C://Scheduler_Logs//index.htm"; )}. What I have copied you is what is shown in the HTML log file stored in a local directory.

Well then it is not a scheduler issue. User authorization is not managed there and it is definitely no the scheduler that prevents you from reading/writing files in that directory. Please verify that user account running the scheduler has permissions for C:/Scheduler_Logs directory and files in that directory are don't have read-only state

It seems like the scheduler is Authorizing the USer?? Is it so?? If so then what is going wrong as the user was able to display the log file on the webpage before.
if not then what is this authorization and connection, disconnection?

I think you are confusing different things. What it has to do with HTML log files other then HTML logs are HTML formatted copies of scheduler logs?

That's why I asked you in the first place when you get this error? (forget about logs for a second) Do you see this error anywhere else?

Ok.Lets look at it afresh:

The problem really is that in my code I use "response.sendRedirect( "//Scheduler_Logs//index.htm" );" to display the content of the Log file in HTML format.

Now in the local directory I can see the log file in HTML format being generated, that is all fine. But for some reason it refuses to display it as part of the code.

Again, this was the same thing that was working absolutely fine till some time ago. The only change between now and then has been windows OS updation. So I was just trying to make sure this had nothing to do with it as there are no other code changes.

Since I saw some stuff regarding authorization on the log files I was just making sure that there is no problem there.

So please let me know what you think could be an issue.

These things could be connected. The best place to look for that is to enable tracing option in the scheduler. After you turn it on rerun your code again. Check in the debug.log file, which specific operation/activity occurs before the error is written to the schedule.log file.
