Post Secure FTP to Mac OS X Tiger Reply with quote

I just upgraded my Xserve from 10.3 Panther to 10.4 Tiger.

24x7 was able to securely log into Panther, but cannot log into Tiger. In
debug mode 24x7 crashes. As a service, the instance hangs and no further jobs
will run.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tim

Turn on the tracing mode in the Tools/Options menu log page, restart the scheduler and rerun the job. Check what you get in the script.log file and in the ftp.log. Let us know if you see any errors there. If nothing obvious comes up, email your ftp.log to support@softtreetech.com

Do you have another ftp.log perhaps for a different FTP server?
The log you sent us terminates without indications of any problems. So the first question is which command sent by the server is causing the problem. If you can use the same FTP job with other Mac servers you can then compare different logs side by side and find out which operation/command send by your new server leads to the error. We don't have Mac OS Tiger here and cannot reproduce your problem.

If there is a possibility and your FTP server is not behind a firewall please provide us with a valid test logon for your FTP server which we can use to troubleshoot the issue.

Also please make sure you cannot to the new FTP server using other FTP programs using the same logon and password
