scheduler keeps bombing out when setting time |
|
When scheduling a script, as soon as I try to set the minutes for the start-time, the time window starts shaking back & forth and it errors out. It gives the following error: 24X7 caused a stack fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff727b4. Is there a way to avoid this or set the time another way? Thanks for your help.

Do you use "Large fonts" on the system? Do you have standard Arial font installed? What's your operation system? If you use "Default Windows appearance", do you still get that problem? To change the appearance, right click on the Desktop, choose Properties menu, then click the appearance tab, select Windows Default schema, apply settings and restart 24x7. : When scheduling a script, as soon as I try to set the minutes for the : start-time, the time window starts shaking back & forth and it errors : out. Do you have MS Office 97 or 2000 installed on the system? Office sometimes replaces standard Arialfont with its own version. If you run an old version of 24x7 please consider upgrading to a more recent version. In version 3.1 and later we have resized or edit fields to allow large non-standard fonts. : I'm using Windows 95, small fonts, Arial font is installed, and it's using : "Windows Standard" scheme.

I use MS Office 2000, but when I went into Control Panel and looked at the fonts, there is an Arial (and other Arial styles). The version of this demo is 3.4.6. Is there another way to adjust the time besides putting the cursor over the "minutes" and using the up-down arrow?

The problem is caused by the size of the Arial font. When date/time text does not fit int othe edit field the application crashes witn an error in the system GDI32.DLL. As a workround you can use up-down arrows to scroll the text rather then type it in. Second workarounds is to switch to 24 hour military time format. This way you will have only 5 characters in the time fields instead of 8. Third workaround would be to uninstall Arial font installled by the MS Office 2000 and install original Arial font from your Windows CD. : I use MS Office 2000, but when I went into Control Panel and looked at the : fonts, there is an Arial (and other Arial styles). When you suggested switching to 24-hour format, is this within the 24x7 scheduler (if it is, I'm not sure where), or do you mean on the PC? Thanks for any help.

: In the Windows Control Panel Regional Settings
Ok, adjusting the regional settings seemed to work as far as scheduling the time. Thanks for your help on this.
