3.4.5 - I have a job that runs every two hours and downloads a file from an ftp site. after a while, it will stop working and give an error:"An error occurred while executing automation script: Line 26: Could not connect to server ftp.nai.com. The request to connect and log on to an FTP server failed." IF I reboot, it works ok... for a while.

Set that job to run detached.
Also if you wish you can set the job to retry several times before failing.
