From your message it sounds like you have built complicated job dependecies. It is very difficult to say what's wrong in such case when you have many dependent jobs and semaphore files. Consider mailing your job database file to support@softtreetech.com for verification. Also check your network settings. If you access files on another server and that servers is restarted all network connections don't work unless you restore them or re-login. It is a common case in many organizations when many network connections get reset every night. : Hello, : I have a few questions to ask : I have a testing environment where I am using : the Scheduler to run jobs at a predefined time on a test machine. As : certain jobs affect the DB server, when I wish to do a re-testing of the : jobs, I have to restore the DB data and reset the DB and test machine : datetimes. : I have noticed on several occasions that on the first start-up of the test : machine, the scheduler only runs the first scheduled job at the scheduled : time. The dependent semaphore files are not created and thus my other jobs : do not run too. Things only work normally when I trigger the Scheduler for : the second time. : What might I be doing incorrectly to have the Scheduler not create the : semaphores the first time? : Secondly when some my scheduled jobs encounters errors while executing, other : jobs start behaving oddly, according to the log viewer ie Finish message : is sent even before the job has started, child jobs running before their : parent jobs have completed, certain jobs running twice, etc. : I have been toying with the idea of setting each job to run as a detached : job. How would this option impact what I have been currently doing using a : single run of many jobs at once? : Any help is greatly appreciated.
