What's the best way to test whether a directory exists or not in JAL? If a given folder doesn't exist, I need to create it; if it does, I need to clear it of all contents (files and sub-folders).

Which begs another question: How best to implelent the UNIX 'rm -r' command, so that all files and subfolders are removed in one blow.

Use FileExists statement. It works for both files and directories

To delete all files and and subfolders in one blow run the DOS "rd /S /Q" command
