Can you clarify what you can call a "process".

Does the 24x7 job starts?

Does it succeed in making the connection?

Can you see a corresponding Oracle process in Oracle? If you don't have good tools for monitoring Oracle, you may want to try our DB Tools http://www.softtreetech/monitor/ package.

If you see the Oracle process in the Oracle monitor, check whether that process is locked by some other processes.

Do you have a 24x7x365 operational database or it is restarted every night?

If the job starts and makes the connection, enable "Database Tracing" in the 24x7 Scheduler options. Then you can check which particular operation is hanging the job.

with process i mean , jobs that make the conection to the database(JAL,SQL) and execute the oracle store procedures.

the 24x7 log says that the jobs are started

I already have a good oracle process monitor and i can't see them running (in fact are not running)

I have 24x7x365 operational database. I think so.

i haven't enabled the database tracing( i will try with it)

but while, do you have an idea that what is happened.

1. Check database locks
2. Check the trace file to find out where the process stops, and maybe some additional error messages.

If the process runs fine during day time but stops at night, there is something different in your database at night. Use your monitoring tool to record database activity overnight, especially check database locks.

Try to run your procedure at night by scheduling SQL*Plus with a script and connection parameters specified in the command line.
