Are you sure it happens when you exit the GUI and not in some other event? The line "24x7 Scheduler terminating..." is written by the GUI. The service writes "[24x7 service] 24x7 Scheduler terminating...". May be the service stops when you log off? : I have 24x7 running as an NT service. Sometimes I login and start the 24x7 : GUI to make changes/add new jobs. When I close 24x7, I get a prompt saying : "Are you sure you want to shutdown 24x7?" (meaning the GUI I : assume). When I say "yes", it appears that the NT service for : 24x7 is also shutting down, which I do not want to happen. The NT event : log shows the following: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( : 24x7 Scheduler ) could : not be found. It contains the following insertion string(s): 9/29/00 11:47:24 : 0 0 24x7 Scheduler 24x7 Scheduler terminating.... : If I restart the service, everything appears to be OK. Any ideas why this is : happening and how I can use the GUI without stopping the service? : Thanks!
