Post 24x7 & Windows 2000 Reply with quote

Hi there,

i have installed the 24x7 Scheduler on a Win2000 Server machine and then transferred our production .dat database from our NT Prod-Server to the new machine. After starting on the Win2000 machine, the scheduler shows at the status line only 9 percent free. The NT machine with the same database shows about 70 percent free. Is there something i should now ?

Thanks in advance ...

This little graph show % of free system resource for NT and not (24x7). If you move mouse-pointer over the graph and wait a second you will see a tooltip with more detailed information. If you double-click on the graph, 24x7 will start the Task Manager. In the Task Manager click on the Performance tab to see memory usage graph, click on the processes to see how many processes you run and how they use your computer memory. Usually, low memory resources caused by too many services/applications running at the same time or insufficient Windows NT/2000 swap file size.

Oh, YES !
You're indeed right ! Win2000 really needs a LOT of memory ...
Thanks.
