: Please don't confuse Oracle server version with Oracle client version. When : giving you a choice of drivers for connecion DB Audit wants you to pick : the one that is compatible with your client version. So if you got v8 on : the client and v9 on the server please pick 8. This does not affect any : fnctionality. IT is just te graphical console will look for different : connectivity methods and files. Tried that too.... and i have both versions loaded When connecting to the 9.2 with the 8i selected, the connection string is missing the 'as sysdba' option, which means i can't connect as sys. i can connect as another user with dba authority such as sysadm, but that doesn't allow for the full access to objects owned by sys. Admittedly, this will likely wind up on the a server console that has only one version loaded, but if the reporting mechanism operates under the same scheme, then it could be a potential issue as well. We don't expect to be running both versions forever, but it is likely for the next year or so. Any other suggestions?
