You probably have several Oracle clients installed on your computer for different Oracle versions. DB Mail installation programs uses the default one (as specified in the ORACLE_HOME). The default version could be incompatible with Oracle 7.3 database. I belive the error message also provides you with a choice of manually selecting the directory where the correct version of SQL*Plus can be found. Use that option to select a directory containing Oracle client 7.3 files. Tip. To find all available versions of SQL*Plus run a search on your computer for sqlplus*.exe If you cannot find the right version as a workaround you can manually execute db_mail_install_7.sql file from [DB Mail home]\Install Scripts directory. Do not forget to change user, password, and tablespace names in that script before running it. : Hello, : I am using Oracle 7.3 Database. : When I try to install dbmail it is showing an alert : Incorrect Sql*Plus Version. : Which is the version of SQl*Plus needed and if you can : Please send me the exe file. : Thank You, : Priya
