You need to have a Oracle database link in order to compare data from two tables located in different databases. This allows DB difference to compare table just if both tables were in the same database. Note that the link is needed only for the data comparison. The same link can be used to compare any two tables. For more info on database links please see CREATE DATABASE LINK command in Oracle SQL Reference.
