Post DB Mail Questions Reply with quote

Just a few quick questions...

1. Does DB Mail allow for a friendly name for the sender?
2. Does it allow a friendly name for the recipient?
3. Does it allow specification of the mail server to be used?

Thanks.

: Just a few quick questions...

: 1. Does DB Mail allow for a friendly name for the sender?
Yes, the actual format highly depends on the email interface that you select in DB Mail. As long as your email client or server can "understand" the specified address and parse/resolve sender's name/address, you are ok.

: 2. Does it allow a friendly name for the recipient?
Yes, same as above.

: 3. Does it allow specification of the mail server to be used?
Not in the message. If you choose SMTP interface, you specify email server in the DB Mail Options, If you choose MAPI interface you specify email server in the MAPI client options (such as Eudora, MS Outlook, etc...). If you choose Lotus Notes interface, you specify it in the setup of your Notes client.

: Thanks.
