Post Pre Purchase Questions Reply with quote

1. What does "all modules" include when purchasing dbTools?

2. Does dbTools work through a firewall? I have a fixed IP Address on my workstation that lets me get through. I am asking because I currently cannot use Oracle's Enterprise Manager through the firewall, although it works well on a different server inside the firewall.

3. How long is the trial period? Is support available during the trial period?

4. I desire to maintain Oracle DBs on at least two Solaris servers from my NT workstation. Does the standard single license allow this?

: 1. What does "all modules" include when purchasing dbTools?
All front-end and back-end components

DB Tools uses standard Oracle OCI and SQL*Net (The Enterprize Manager doesn't) so as long as you can connect from SQL*Plus and other client applications you should be able to connect using DB Tools

: 3. How long is the trial period? Is support available during the trial
: period?
By default it is 30-days and it comes with the support. By the way, this forum is available instantly for all people.

: 4. I desire to maintain Oracle DBs on at least two Solaris servers from my NT
: workstation. Does the standard single license allow this?

Yes, because it is based on the number of user of DB Tools, and not on the number of servers your connect to.
