1. Make sure you don't have multiple copies/versions of Oracle client software installed on your computer (ORA7WIN.DLL, OCIxxx.DLL, and other) 2. Make sure you have sufficient authority to connect and create objects in your database 3. Check your TNSNAMES.ORA file to make sure that you connect to the right database 4. Before installing dbTrends you need to customize dbTrends preferences (e.g. tablespace names, and configuration). Please see comments at the beginning of the trends.sql installation script for more info. : We have downloaded the evaluation version to test it. : We have got an Oracle 7.3.4.4 database which run on an AIX 4.2.1 system. : We used for the client two OS which were : - Windows 95 + Oracle 7.3.4 Client : - Windows NT WorkStation + Oracle 7.3.4 Client : In the two cases, the only way to work are : - Connecting with ODBC but : TRENDS do not install : and informations returned by the software : (Tablespaces, tables, ...etc...) are wrong ! : - Connecting with DBMS ORA8 (?) but nothing run, : we have blank grids everywhere ! : Is it a well-known problem, and in this case have you got a solution to allow : us testing your software ?
