Thanks for your quick response, however ufortunately, it did not solve my problem. I checked my SQL server PATH environment and it did not have the path as you suggested, so I added it in. Tested it but same old error. PS1 I should also mention that I tried the same thing on another XP Client PC using MSS connectivity (connected to the save SQL server) and it worked fine. Is there something on the local XP Client that is not right ? PS2 I tried connecting via the OLE Microsoft SQL Server (ADC) driver and on the failed PC above it connected fine. Should I just use this driver and forget about MSS ? thanks : This is because "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Binn" : directory is not listed in the PATH environment variable and so files from : this directory cannot be found. If SQL Server is instaled somewhere else : you need to use the correct path. In case if SQL Server client (DB-lib) is : not installed you need to install it from the CD. : PS. In case if you need help with chnaging the sstem search path... here is : how. : 1. Right click My Computer icon on the Desktop : 2. In the popup menu select Properties item : 3. Click Advanced tab page : 4. Click Environment Variables button : 5. Select PATH syste variable and click the Edit button : 6. In the Value field type or paste path to directory where SQL Server client : is located (pth to the BinN) directory. : 7. Save all changes and restart DB Audit Console
