DB Tools does not run any operation system specific scripts, it only runs SQL scripts wich can be run on any computer with the Oracle client installed. That's ok to have Oracle server running on a UNIX server and install database backend objects by running SQL script on a Windows workstation. As for Oracle9i backward incompatibility and sysdba option, DB Tools Database Setup program provides a workaround. Whenever SYS logon is needed it copies the required SQL script into the clipboard and prompts you to run SQL*Plus, connect to your database and then paste and execute the previously copied script. Please let me know if you need additional explanation or help with the setup. : Some scripts needs to log on as sysdba but : the software does not give us the option. And even : it did, my server is on a Unix server while my : workstation is on windows. I cannot execute every scripts
