DB Tuning Expert compares statistics stored in the system catalog against physical object attributes and allocation. For example, it compares number of blocks allocated to a table (as reported in dba_segments) against number of blocks found by the last ANALYZE command and written to some internal Oracle table that is seen via all_tables view. If the difference is significant, DB Tuning Expert suggests to analyze such table. You can verify the result yourself by querying dba_segments and all_tables for one of the found objects. : I have run the tuning expert report and received a : list of objects that had outdated statistics in the : data dictionary. The suggestion in the report was : to run the ANALYZE command on these objects. I have : done that, but am still receiving the same suggestion : everytime that I re-run the report. : Any suggestions? Thanks!
