Post DB_alert Reply with quote

Hi,

We are in the process of evaluation of your product, It is shaping up quite well. Though there is one problem we are having with db_alert. I'm am using ODBC style connection. This the only method I have been able to successfully connect to a 7.3.4.5.0 database (there is a link issue with sql*net libs otherwise). I appear to have connected to the database successfully (according to v$session) and I have set highwater marks accordingly, so I expect emails to start arriving. I will also mention that I have SMTP connection setup instead of MAPI (simply because I have an better understanding of SMTP connections).

I dont get any. I can see from dba_jobs that the run_analysis jobs are running.
Could you please offer any assistance as we are very intereseted in your tool but must have this functional requirement.

It would appear that DB_Monitor does exactly what we need in sending email and customization.

Regards

Yes, we can offer assistance here in this forum and by email. You can post your questions here or send them to support@softtreetech.com.

For example, if you get an error message when connection to your database, please specify the complete error text and also the Oracle client software version you have installed on your computer.
