dbTools Connection Issue after Upgrade

I have recently upgraded to dbTools for Oracle
from the Initial Monitoring package and am having
some difficulties.

I have reinstalled my dbTools software to allow me
to input my new serial number and am getting the error
when connecting:

"DBMS 084 ORACLE 8.0.4-8.1.5 is not supported in your
current installation."

It (Softtree) has worked in the past (before reinstalling
the software so I could enter our upgraded serial number)

I can lower the Oracle level and connect without problems.

I am running Oracle 8.0.6. and have not had any connectivity
problems previously.

Any Ideas?

Check your current version in the Help/About box. If it is less than 3.00.05 please download and install the latest version from http://www.softtreetech.com/monitor/
The serial number is good for any 3.xx.x. You DO NOT NEED to uninstall the existing version and input that number again.

Error "DBMS 084 ORACLE 8.0.4-8.1.5 is not supported in your current installation." can be also a result of missing Oracle OCI.DLL or if that DLL cannot be found in the PATH.

This also works with TNS: Could not Connect errors as well..:)
