Post Import Windows Edition Job Database File Reply with quote
I've just upgraded to the Multi-platform Edition of 27x7 Scheduler and I have all my job saved to an old Windows edition .dat file. When I try to open it I see the message shown below and when I click 'Yes' nothing happens. How do I import these?

How big is the old file?

Does your user account has full explicit privileges for C:\24x7 folder? Group privileges are mostly ignored by UAC. Please be sure you set it for your account directly.

I'm the admin of the PC and all the privileges are checked for my account under Security. The file is only 115Kb. I've also noticed that the New Job option is grayed out for some reason.

Admin or not, isn't much different for Windows UAC. You need explicit full privileges for that folder and subfolders.
Admin permissions enable you to modify folder security settings and add your own account. Please try that. If that still doesn't work please verify the old version is still functional. Behind the schemes the migration process involves both versions which work together to upgrade the job database file.

I currently don't have the old version since i just got a new PC hence the upgrade. That's most likely the problem. Is there someway I can get it again?

I got it. When you mentioned permissions on files, I noticed my old dat file was in a network drive folder so I copied it to the 24x7 folder on the PC and voilą. Everything is working now.

Recently I update my windows with the latest version but after the upgrade of windows, it shows an issue windows defender error 577 while insert data in the database, I really have no idea how to remove this error so I want a solution as soon as possible.
