Post How to move Job database from one machine to another machine Reply with quote
Hi,

As of now scheduler is running in XP.

We are planning to move from XP machine to Win7 machine.
Once opened the job database in win7 machine. All jobs came correctly.
But when I tried to click on properties of particular job it was throwing warning " Particular Queue is not available so moving to default queue".

Can anyone help me on this.

I have created all queue folders in the new machine also but its not working

Hi,

We are using 3.6.11 version in both XP and Win7 Machines.

Do we have any chance to create all queues automatically.

You will need to copy part of your registry, export it to a text file and then import that file on the new machine.

Uee regedit utility to export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\3.0 key with all its subkeys and values to a .REG file. The copy the file to the new system and Import it there. However, if the old system is 32-bit and the new system is 64-bit, you may need to edit the .REG file manually and to replace all occurrences of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\3.0" with "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\3.0"

Thanks a lot.

I will try and let you know the status.

Also I need help on below things.

1. Do we have any script based job template to notify if job is running more than some period of time.
2. Any notification alert if scheduler is not active.

Thanks in Advance.

Ravi.

This indicates that you have multiple instances of 24x7 running. Perhaps a service and a GUI version or multiple instances in multiple remote desktop sessions, or something like that. An antivirus program could be also an interfering, but that is much less likely.

I copied the filename.dat and renamed to filename_win7.dat and opened.

Even I'm getting same error after clicking on save button.

The error obviously occurs outside of 24x7. The file is locked by some other process, an antivirus, a file backup process, or different instance of 24x7.

Try restarting your computer

Please check if your account (not a group!) has full explicit privileges for the directory in which 24x7 is installed or move the file to your personal documents directory. Also please try turning off your antivirus.

Thanks,

We placed file in another directory. Now we are able to change and save.

Do we have any script based job to find if any job running more than specific period of time.
