Changes to JAL scripts and JAL script properties disappear |
|
I just spent 16+ hours editing JAL scripts and their properties, and when I went back to double-check my work, I found that all of my changes were gone! So I started re-doing the first few, thinking maybe I'd missed them, but those changes were disappearing within 30 minutes of making the changes. And if I hit SAVE, the changes disappeared immediately!
What's up? Thanks
V.5.1 Build 395
JVM v.1.6.0_17-b04
OS is Win2008 SP1

You are enjoying Windows UAC design which is silently undoing all your changes.
Seriously, to fix that, give yourself full explicit permissions for C:\24x7 folder, do not assume that as a member of Administrators group you got permissions for everything and always using your admin privileges.
Hope this helps.

RE: Changes to JAL scripts and JAL script properties disappe |

I made the changes you suggest, and I'm still having the same problem.
I was going to post a screenshot of the changes, but our security has that capability blocked. Can I work directly with someone via email where I can send screenshots?
The odd thing about this is that some of the first changes I made were saved, but nothing I've done in 3 days has been saved.

I'm certain the issue is outside of 24x7 because it doesn't show any "file save" errors, so from the scheduler's point of view there are no errors all changes are getting saved, just just go to nowhere..
