We have a need to set up a userid on job scheduler for MySQL. We are receiving the following error. Can you tell us what is expected for this message, we tried several different url’s and the XXX5R url IP address.
thanks

We are still having issues trying to connect. We have tried several different versions of the URL and receive the same message.
I have not located the jdbc.log that was referenced in a previous post. The Debug log does not show any messages.
We have traced turned on.
Suggestions??

":thin:" is not needed in the URL. I'm not sure where you picked that. Just googled for "jdbc mysql url" and all top results returned for my search show the same thing
jdbc:mysql://[host][,failoverhost...][:port]/[database]
I'm happy to help you to build the complete URL, but cannot do as all your screenshots blank the actual server name

It looks like you have a firewall blocking database connections from the scheduler system on port 3306
To verify that hypothesis, on the system running 24x7, open command prompt and execute telnet nas5r 3306 If you get connection failed error, the port is not reachable. If you get something else, please let us know.
