Post Job Reporting available on 24x7 Remote Control Schedular Reply with quote
We have 24x7 Schedular configured as a service on our application server and are using the remote control on an WinXP instance. The idea is that as we add application servers we would be able to control the schedules centrally using the remote control.

One thing we are seeing is that many of the job reports are greyed out on the remote, with the exception of the "Job forcast" and "Job Database Summary". Is there a way to get these reports to work from the remote control location?

The Remote Control cannot do these reports. The data used by the reports is stored in the Performance Data directory on the server. That's why the reports are disabled in the Remote Control.

If you need to run these reports locally, you can use the following method:
1. Copy the entire Performance Data directory from the server to your local computer. and replace local copy of Performance Data.
2. Copy the job database file from the server and overwrite your local job database file.
3. Start 24x7 from command line using 24x7 /NOTIMER command. Now you can use it as a local GUI and you can run all reports.

thx I will give this a try. In addition to the reports menu the "Job Monitor and Que Monitor" are greyed out. Is there a way to see these as well? It would be nice to see what jobs are waiting to run.
