Post SQL Assistan 4.6.10 and Toad for Oracle Reply with quote
Hello,

Just updated to the 4.6.10 release, and it seams not to like Toad for oracle (see attached pic) - as toad start throwing access violations (usually after navigating with the arrow keys to select / highlight some sql. Toad stops throwing errors after I exit SQL Assistant, and works fine when SQL Assistant is not running.

Any suggestions?

Please uncheck check box next to Toad target in SQL Asisstant options, click Apply and then try starting Toad.

If that works, go back and check it again while Toad is running. Click apply. Try typing some query in Toad. Do you still get this error?

Which Toad version is that? Which SQL Assistant version di you run before upgrade?

With the target unticked, toad is fine, as soon as ticking the target, just moving through the text will cause the error.

Prior to the upgrade I think I was on the 4.5.x (I leave auto updates on, so likely it was the version that was last pushed out)

Toad is version 9.7.2.5 ( I did see the same behavior in an earlier 9.7.2.x version as well)

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi,

We have a fix available for download. Please give it a try and let us know if that works for you. Here is the temporary download link

http://www.softtreetech.com/sqlassist/fixes/4.6.12.ebf.zip

To install this fix
1. Quit SQL Assistant systray application
2. Quit all target editors and wait for a few seconds
3. Unzip the downloaded zip file into SQL Assistant installation directory overwriting the existing files.
