SQL Assistant v4.0 public beta program is now open. If you are interested, use the beta download link provided on the product home page http://www.softtreetech.com/sqlassist/index.htm to download this version.

Note that active beta testers will be eligible to receive free SQL Assistant license after the public release. To qualify for an active tester status, you must provide some valuable feedback such as a detailed bug report, significant usability issue, etc… Please submit your feedback directly to this forum or email it to the support account.

Note: Anonymous users contacting us from free public email accounts such as gmail, yahoo, hotmail, and similar, will not receive any responses, and as a result, will be automatically ineligible to apply for a free license

Thank you for your interest in the beta program. The beta email account initially used for private invitations is now deactivated because the beta is going to be public. Tomorrow we will have the download link for the beta version available on the product main page. Again, sorry for the caused inconvenience and confusion.

When you select one of the options under DB Queries, on the DB Options Tab, the selected item gets blacked out.

I am running Vista 64bit.

Post configuration windows is too small Reply with quote
when I try to configure values in configuration window, sometimes it is irritating, because it is too small.
Would you please make it larger so users can easily configure values anytime?
There is no maximize button on control windows.

Post SQL Assistant V4 BETA suggestion Reply with quote
At present the SQL Assistant tool opens the contents of an object, when holding ctrl and left click on object name, in a SQL Assistant tab. To enable the quick editing of the objects, for example procedures, would it be possible to open the contents of the object straight into a SSMS query editor tab depending on the object? for example, the contents of an entity is probably OK in a SQL Assistant tab, however, a procedure or function will open in an SSMS tab enabling a developer to immediately start re-factoring the object. Would it also be possible to highlight objects of the same name within a script, variables for example, with a light colour to quickly identify all occurrences of the object?

Off the record I believe yours' is a very honourable organisation, providing a great service for little cost, thank you.

Please post a new topic for each issue/question. It is not possible to track them if everything is lamped together. This particular topic is for the beta announcement, not for discussing anything else. I will reply to each of your questions in the new topics.

I agree, it is very difficult to see the current value and make changes. Window cannot be sized. It will be great if the window can remember the last size I set it on (when it can be re sized).
