It appears this error can occur if you install SQL Assistant while having SSMS or Visual Studio open and an older version of SQL Assistant already installed. As a result not all loaded files get updated in memory.

The solution: close all editors using SQL Assistant before installing new updates.

Just to add to this...

I can confirm that I also got this error as a result of removing window for the fix described in
http://www.softtreetech.com/support/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22616 while leaving VS2008 open.

Shutting down VS2008 and restarting SQL Assistant did not stop this happening. Neither did registering the Add-in or rebooting!

However, having removed and re-added the query being edited the behavior is as expected. Perhaps just a caching issue?

I should say that the parameters for checkkey varied from those described and in fact varied each time I changed the configuration / restarted.

Are you also using version 2.x? Can ou descrive specifci versions of VS2008, platform and version of SQL Assistant used?

Also, we need to know specific steps to reproduce this issue, so we can reproduce it and if the problem is on part, we can fix it.

Sorry - my mistake - I didn't pick up the version/date of that message. I'm actually using (playing with) the 4.0.20 Beta!

Strange. I just tried to reproduce in order to get the exact steps, but no luck this time.

I'll try again later before and after updating the Beta when it comes out (today/tomorrow) and repost in more detail.
