Post macro is starting up other applications on desktop Reply with quote

I've recorded a macro and I have it scheduled. In the macro, I click on Start menu...start up an application...log in with username, etc... When this same macro runs at it's scheduled time, it's trying to start up other applications (like Internet Explorer, Yahoo Messenger, going into my Recycle Bin, etc...). What might be causing this?

How do you start your application? Do you double-click an icon on the Desktop? If yes, try using the Run option in the Start menu and then typing the full program name. This is the reliable method

Another 100% good option would be to use the following script type job

Dim process_id, number
RunWithInput "c:\\program files\\myprogram.exe", "", "user name\npassword\n", 0, process_id

That's it. For details please see the on-line help on RunWithInput and/or RunWithInputAndWait
