Every *text* is usually a simple "window" as well as buttons, pictures, option check boxes, and so on are also "windows". These windows are children of some other parent window, such as a dialog box that you can find using WindowFind. You can use WindowGetChild to find reference called “windows handle” to the first child window. Then you can use WindowGetNext to loop through sibling windows. WindowGetTitle will return the text of the specified window. If found window has a title, it returns the text of the title, otherwise it returns the contents. This way you can always identify the *contents* of any given window There are several examples available for WindowGetChild, WindowGetNext, and other WindowGet... statements. : How can I check the contents of a window to act upon? : In Lotus Notes when Windows pop-up they very often have "Lotus : Notes" as title. : But the contents of the windows are different. : How can I check the text that is displayed to be sure I'm responding to the : right one? : Thanks
