Dear support,

I get the error "Unable to delete semaphore files xxx" when I run some of my jobs. I have tried searching for the semaphore files on all directories after all the jobs have completed but the search turns up with nothing.

The other jobs have the Log Viewer notifications :
Job 1 : Start Message sent
Job 1 : Finish Message sent
while some jobs have :
Job 2 : Start Message sent
Job 2 : Unable to delete semaphore file xxx

I have upgraded to v2.4.1. Please help, I don't know why the Log Viewer is sending those messages.

p/s I have enabled Interface Trace but I cannot find the problem from the log because it does not cover the entire job run. Is this the correct behaviour?

You have setup the job schedule is setup as a semaphore file watch for a file called xxx. You have also selected delete semaphore file rule which is either "delete semaphore file before job run" or "delete semaphore file after job run". When you trigger the job manually by using Run Now function, the job attempts to delete the xxx file but cannot find it, so it writes an error message to the job log. This is correct behavior.
You should either create file xxx before running the job manually or change the job schedule trigger to some other type.

1) My jobs are not triggered using Run Now. They are triggered to run at a specific time every day.

2) I have chosen the rule to delete semaphore file before job run for all jobs. This usually works fine but in the Log Viewer, I sometimes get error messages as I have described earlier. Why is that? I do not find traces of any semaphore files in any of the directories when my jobs are completed though. Why should the Scheduler say that it is unable to delete xxx semaphore?

You may have a conflict for 2 or more jobs that depend on the same xxx file and both attempt to delete it. As a result the first job succeed, other fail.
